Chad served in the Army before he learned the trade, and he runs the firm the way he was taught to run a checklist: every item, every time.
Chad started Vaughn Gas & Plumbing to do one kind of work and to do it carefully. He walks most runs himself, writes most of the prices and signs the test record on every job. He lives in Oklahoma City and cooks on a gas range he hooked up himself.

Why gas
Gas is most of what we do
Seven of us work here. Most of what we do is gas: the pipe, the shutoff, the connector, the test. A firm that does a little of everything runs a gas line a few times a year. We run them every week.
That is the whole pitch. We don't do bathrooms, and we don't do drains. When a job isn't gas, we say so and name someone who does it.
